Samiksha — Multi-Department Task & Scheme Monitor

Samiksha is a master-driven task and scheme monitoring platform built for a senior government officer overseeing multiple departments — currently Animal Husbandry, Dairy, Fisheries, and Higher Education.

Instead of building four separate bespoke tracking tools, it is one configurable system: departments, matter categories, sub-categories, funding sectors, schemes, and custom fields are all admin-managed data, not hard-coded — so adding a fifth department doesn't require new code.

What it does

• Task tracking with a full status workflow — assigned, in progress, review, approved, closed — and an audit trail of every change.
• Officer management with department-scoped logins, so each officer only sees and acts on their own department's work.
• Scheme monitoring with structured financial progress (outlay, release, expenditure) and physical progress (indicators, achievements). Utilisation and achievement percentages are computed automatically rather than tracked by hand.
• Live dashboards and exportable reports — active, overdue and high-priority task counts, department-wise breakdowns, low-utilisation scheme flags, and CSV/PDF-ready reports.
• WhatsApp integration — automatic reminders via the WhatsApp Cloud API to the responsible officer, both when a task is created and daily while it is due or overdue, so nothing waits for someone to open a dashboard.

Why it's structured this way

The goal was a system a non-technical department head could extend without a developer. New departments, categories or schemes are entered through an admin interface, and the task form, dashboards and reports all adapt to whatever has been configured.

Currently built as an MVP on PocketBase, deployed on a self-hosted VPS.
