Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam reviewed the ongoing notice and hearing phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) with District Magistrates across the districts. Directions were issued to ensure timely delivery of notices, adequate time for hearings, and regular field visits to monitor the process and address voter concerns effectively.
To facilitate smooth document verification, District Magistrates were directed to nominate nodal officers from concerned departments, including Education, Revenue and Tehsil offices, to support EROs and AEROs. The meeting also reviewed the progress of notice printing, with 100% printing completed at the ERO and BLO levels, and hearings already underway.
