Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam reviewed the ongoing notice and hearing phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) with District Magistrates across Uttarakhand. Districts have been directed to focus on the hearing process over the next three weeks, ensuring that every voter receives adequate opportunity to respond and that no voter faces inconvenience. In case a voter is unable to appear for a hearing, sufficient time should be provided for a second opportunity.

To strengthen transparency and public participation, CEO officials have also been directed to engage with political parties twice a week at every level and seek regular feedback. Senior officials will undertake district-level field visits to interact with voters and assess the implementation of SIR, while EROs, AEROs, BLO Supervisors and BLOs will continue close coordination, with special attention to booths receiving a high number of notices.
