Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam has directed all District Election Officers to ensure the safety and dignity of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and field staff engaged in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Strict action will be taken against any anti-social elements found misbehaving with or obstructing field staff during SIR-related work.

The CEO appreciated the dedicated efforts of BLOs and field teams working across the state and emphasised that such incidents can affect their morale. He appealed to voters and citizens to extend full cooperation to BLOs and other field staff, helping ensure that the SIR process is carried out smoothly, safely and efficiently.
