A five-member delegation from Uttarakhand, led by Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam, visited the Provincial Assembly of Novi Sad in Serbia as part of a study tour on electoral management and democratic processes. The delegation was briefed on the functioning of democratic institutions, administrative arrangements and the electoral system in Serbia.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences on election management, voter awareness and citizen participation in democratic processes. The delegation also held discussions with the Provincial Election Commission of Serbia to understand best practices and explore areas of mutual learning and cooperation. The visit is expected to contribute to strengthening electoral practices through the exchange of international experiences.
