Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam held a meeting with representatives of recognised national political parties to discuss the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Uttarakhand. He emphasised that the key objective of SIR is to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll and no ineligible voter is included. He appealed to political parties to extend full cooperation and actively participate in the revision process.

The CEO urged all recognised political parties to ensure 100% appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) within the next two weeks to strengthen verification and coordination at the booth level. He also briefed the representatives about the SIR timeline and the “Book a Call with BLO” facility, aimed at making the process more convenient for voters. He stressed that active participation by political parties and BLAs will help ensure a transparent, inclusive and accurate electoral roll.
