CEO Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam Confirms Conclusion of SIR in Uttarakhand; Final Electoral Roll Published with 71,58,949 Electors

CEO Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam informed that the Final Electoral Roll 2026 of Uttarakhand, prepared after the Special Intensive Revision and disposal of Claims and Objections, was published on 03 October 2026 with 71,58,949 electors.

Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand, Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam informed that, as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls was conducted in the State with 01 July 2026 as the qualifying date. The SIR commenced on 08 June 2026, followed by publication of the Draft Electoral Roll on 14 July 2026. After disposal of Claims and Objections, the Final Electoral Roll was published on 03 October 2026 with 71,58,949 electors.

The final electorate comprises 37,37,701 male, 34,21,036 female and 212 third-gender electors, with 72,656 electors in the 18–19 years age group and 1,22,892 electors aged 80 years and above. During the Claims and Objections period, 1,29,872 eligible electors were added and 1,04,708 ineligible electors were deleted following due verification. The State currently has 12,543 polling stations.

Dr. Purushottam said that citizens can verify their names in the Final Electoral Roll through the ECI voter portal and CEO Uttarakhand website, as well as through DEOs, EROs, AEROs and BLOs. Eligible persons whose names are not included can submit Form-6 online through ECINET or offline through their BLOs. He further informed that special campaigns will be organised for new voter registration, during which BLOs will visit eligible young voters at their homes and facilitate the Form-6 registration process.
