Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand, Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam on Friday conducted a super checking at Sarathi Vihar in Raipur Assembly Constituency of Dehradun district as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.
During the field visit, the Chief Electoral Officer interacted with voters and reviewed the documents and records related to the revision process. He also enquired into the disposal of Form-7 applications and found that the applications had been duly processed at the Booth Level Officer (BLO) and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) levels.
Appreciating the efforts of the field staff engaged in the SIR exercise, Dr. Purushottam said that BLOs across the state are carrying out their responsibilities diligently at the booth level. He emphasised that the revision process is being undertaken with due verification and adherence to the prescribed procedures.
The Chief Electoral Officer informed that the final publication of the electoral roll in Uttarakhand will be undertaken on October 3, 2026. He appealed to all citizens to check their names and other details in the electoral roll after the final publication and ensure that their electoral information is updated.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Anita Darshi, ADC Development Rajinder Batra, Assistant Commissioner General Lal Vishwas Bains and other officers were also present during the field visit.
