Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam conducted on-the-spot inspections of polling stations in Dehradun to review the ongoing SIR notice and hearing process and gather feedback directly from voters. He emphasised that field visits are essential to understand ground-level concerns and ensure that the process remains smooth and voter-friendly.

The CEO directed officials to dispose of notices involving general discrepancies at the BLO level after proper verification, so that voters do not face unnecessary inconvenience. He also instructed that unmapped voters should receive special attention and be heard at the ERO/AERO level in accordance with the prescribed rules.
