Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B. V. R. C. Purushottam held a meeting with representatives of recognised national political parties to review the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and seek their suggestions. He informed that 99% of enumeration forms had been distributed across Uttarakhand, while digitisation had reached 20% at the time of the meeting. The CEO urged political parties to support BLOs and field teams and actively participate in the revision process.

The CEO also informed that 76,754 voters had been identified in the ASD category through field verification. Political parties were requested to use their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to help locate and verify these voters along with BLOs, so that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll. The CEO emphasised that cooperation from political parties and BLAs is essential for a transparent, inclusive and voter-friendly SIR process.
